I'm broke.

My bill this month is ASTOUNDING.. Its like more than my 2 months pay O.o While how I'm going to settle my bill this time still remains a mystery, I think this should be a wake up call for me. STOP SPLURGING, LIANG SIYA!!!!!

I guess the problem with me is that I take having enough money for granted. From young, I've always had more than enough money. I get almost everything that I'd wanted. My wallet, I can say, is never empty. I guess that's why I don't think much before spending. Even now. I mean, there's always next month's pay, right? Ya. And that's why, after working for more than 1 yr, my savings is still ZERO!!! Yeah!! KOSONG!! I'd had many incidents when I overspent my salary for that month, but things always happen to amazingly help me settle my bills. Like jusstt nice, I'll have bonus for that month, or juussstt niiccee, the govt announced payouts to civil servants. And what's more, worst come to worst, there's always my parents to fall back on, right?

I'm too pampered I'm too pampered I'm too pampered~ And I just have too many excuses~!! "Things are just too expensive nowadays" "Its too easy to spend hundreds without really buying much" "Hacker hacked into my account!!!!" Sigh... Guess I'll just start small... Start from not buying unnecessary things.... Good food... is my weak spot hahaha!! We'll see how it goes first :P Eve, I still want to join in the Taiwan trip next year ok~!! I'll save up one!!!!

So yup the history of middle finger~


"Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers.


Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future.


This famous English longbow was made of the native English yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as "plucking the yew" or "pluck yew".


Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying "See, we can still pluck yew!"


Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning ahs gradually changed into a labiodentals fricative "F", and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute!


It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is knows as "giving the bird". "

So on Friday, mimi-chan and I went to high tea at Equinox~ Hahaha!! Its one of the places that we don't grow tired of~ Good view, good food! And ya~ we wanted to treat Pris n Deb one but Pris totally forgot about it (HUMPF!!!) and Deb was in school till quite late sooooo~~ Just the 2 of us I guess~~
